A landing page has one job: getting visitors to take one action – request a quote, book a call, download a guide. These twelve tips make the difference.
Message
- Match the ad or link. The headline should continue the promise that brought the visitor.
- Clear value proposition. Say what you offer, for whom and why it's better – in one sentence.
- Benefits before features. Explain the outcome for the customer.
- Speak your customer's language. Use the words your customers use, not internal jargon.
Design
- One goal, one primary button. Remove navigation and distractions where possible.
- Strong call to action. "Get my free quote" beats "Submit".
- Visual hierarchy. Headline, key benefits, proof, CTA – easy to scan on mobile.
- Fast loading. Every second counts, especially from ads on mobile.
Trust
- Social proof. Reviews, client logos, case studies and numbers (only real ones).
- Reduce risk. "Free and non-binding", clear pricing, data protection notes, contact details.
Forms
- Ask only what you need. Every extra field lowers conversion. Name, email and one qualifying question are often enough. A guided multi-step form or an assistant can collect more details without overwhelming users.
Improvement
- Test and measure. Track conversions (with consent), run A/B tests on headlines and CTAs, and watch recordings or heatmaps where allowed.
Bonus: B2B specifics
B2B decisions involve several people. Offer something for each stage: a checklist or guide for researchers, a call booking for decision makers, and clear next steps after the form.
